Here it is, the new Honda Odyssey. Let me restate that the previous generation, especially in Absolute guise, is one of my favorite automotive designs of all time. It would have taken a lot to surpass, or even match, it, so I suppose I’m not too bummed out about the new look. As I have noted before, Honda seems determined to put that pelican mouth grille on all its new models, and it really doesn’t befit the sleek look of the Odyssey. (more…)

Since its debut in May 1996, Honda has sold one million of its popular StepWgn minivan. To commemorate, here’s the Smart Style Edition of the StepWgn and StepWgn Spada. (more…)

As you may have guessed, this latest edition of the Nissan Serena combines the features of a self-retracting side step with a GPS and rear entertainment system to create - voilá - the 20S Step+Navi Selection.

It wasn’t that long ago that Toyota unveiled the redesigned Alphard, king of their mega-luxo flagship vans with a new sibling known as the Vellfire. Now both editions are getting the Royal Lounge treatment, in which the second row of the spacious people movers are replaced with a pair of cabinets and a fridge. The last row gets recliners, complete with foot rests, that look more luxurious than any piece of furniture I or my parents have ever owned. The price for all this comfort starts at around US$70,000 and tops out at nearly $80k. Follow the jump to see the view from Mr. Big’s chair. (more…)
