Now this is the kind of project I like to see. Take the basicest of the basic cheap transportation - in this case the European Toyota Aygo - and jettison the stock 1.0L, 67hp motor and leave the engine bay empty while you stuff a 197hp, 1.8L turbo where the back seats should be. It cost about £100,000 to build, but who’s counting?
After bitching about the unsightliness of the Honda Freed, here’s one tuned by Honda’s in-house performance junkies Mugen. See, Nissan Teana? This is how you get your ostracized hoons to convert an otherwise snoozer of a vehicle into something that’ll turn heads!
So after a little more digging, I did come across this Teana Axis, which improves (slightly) over the stock version in the looks department thanks to Nissan in-house tuner Autech. Okay, now I’ll stop talking about the Teana.
