Toyota iQ is Really Real

Apparently Toyota’s iQ wasn’t just another one of its many green city car concepts. A production version was just unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, and it remains remarkably faithful to the concept first glimpsed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007.

The little car is certainly packed with technology. It has safety features like vehicle stability control and 9 airbags, which, given its size, probably suffocates all occupants upon impact. Even though it’s FF, it has a tight 3.9m turning radius, and the iQ returns a massive 54 mpg.

Already you can pre-order your iQ, and there are minisites devoted to an iQ art installation project, a paint contest, and a third random “>minisite. But the best evidence yet comes from the fact that an official Modellista body kit has been announced.
